Kalipunan
“Kalipunan” is the Artists’ Circle Fraternity’s Annual Art Exhibit.
It is a venue for advocating love for the arts and art education. Kalipunan is a joint project of faculty and resident members of the fraternity aimed at strengthening social awareness of various art forms and to lead an interest by student involvement for their growth. Some activities leading to the culminating art exhibit included workshops, art contests, cultural nights and parties in and out of campus. The campaign is aided by sponsors and advertisement through mass media and donations by the alumni.
The first installation of Kalipunan V will have its first show on APRIL 2009 with succeeding activities that will last until the end of the year.
KALIPUNAN traditionally holds a “home” exhibit at the Corredor Gallery before touring host art galleries in Manila afterwards. The main event will be a show on OCTOBER 2009 at the Metropolitan Museum of Manila with a scheduled art talk by selected artists on the duration of that show.
Preparations for a Cultural Center of the Philippines show in JULY 2010 are already being arranged.
Aside from residents and faculty members, some of the most-awaited young artists from the alumni of the Artists’ Circle, were invited to exhibit their works in Kalipunan- Eufemio Rasco IV, Rodel Tapaya, Poklong Anading, Bernie Pacquing,.
