Reymar Gacutan ‘90 at Britannia Art Projects, CUBAO
Reymar Gacutan’s Modern Fossils are currently on view at Britannia Art Projects in Cubao until the better half of October. His works of modern fossils are comparable to Rauschenberg’s combines in effect but with a unique touch that grips the viewer’s attention to the context in each of the ‘fossilized’ attachment- tin cans, aluminum cans, library bells, petrified wood, ceiling fan blades, etcetera etecetera. Reymar Gacutan’s sense in composition is masterful and his works evoke the art that is worthy of fellow artists’ envy. Inspired by artifacts as suggested by the title, this show invites someone to take another look at things you find in the junk shop.
